Giovanni is a Fine Art student also an independent visual artist. Working with performance and
sculpture he questions their meaning, roots and significance. He is mainly concerned with the
relationship that performance has with the audience and the space around it. The sculpture serves
as the medium to make the audience interact with the performer. Both, audience and performer,
enter into a power relation that makes their bodies wave between an object and a subject.
Giovanni creates an experience that needs to be lived in the present and an image that resides in
the exchange between audience and performer.
Giovanni is currently studying Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts, London. He exhibited this
year at the CGP Gallery London and will take part at the Florence Biennale in October 2017. He
has been awarded by the University of the Arts London with an art residency in Beijing, China, in
